We are seeking an experienced, high-initiative HR professional to lead our recruiting and on-site talent initiatives from our Austin office.
This is a fully in-office role for someone who thrives on daily face-to-face collaboration and naturally takes ownership of the in-person candidate experience. The ideal candidate proactively engages with interviewers and candidates, takes pride in crafting a seamless on-site interview process, and is comfortable partnering closely with senior leadership, including the CEO.
Responsibilities and Duties
What We're Looking For:
· Someone who genuinely wants to work in the office, not just tolerates it.
· A person who routinely steps up to greet and host candidates regardless of whether they sourced the candidate, partnering with our Office Manager to create a warm, professional experience.
· A strong interview coordinator who ensures all interviewers are aligned, prepared, and equipped before interviews.
· A hands-on recruiter with the technical capability to source and attract top software engineers, as well as the versatility to recruit for a broad range of roles across the organization.
· A leader who helps us reduce recruiter spend through direct sourcing, not just manage outside agencies.
· HR Generalist experience is a plus, as this position will report to a Senior HR Director based in another location and will assist with broader HR responsibilities as needed.
What You'll Do
- Source, screen, and recruit top-tier Software Engineers across front-end, back-end, full-stack, and DevOps roles.
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, write job descriptions, and craft tailored recruiting strategies.
- Coordinate all on-site interviews, including prep and communication with internal interviewers.
- Ensure a consistently excellent candidate experience, including greeting candidates and managing on-site logistics.
- Develop and execute sourcing plans using job boards, social media, events, and referrals.
- Own the full recruitment lifecycle from initial outreach through offer acceptance.
- Reduce reliance on external recruiters through strong internal pipelines.
- Support generalist HR functions including onboarding, performance management, training, employee relations, and offboarding.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws.
- Recommend process and policy improvements that enhance HR effectiveness and the employee experience.
- Stay current on HR best practices, trends, and technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; PHR or SPHR preferred.
- 5+ years of recruiting experience, including direct experience hiring Software Engineers.
- Previous HR Generalist experience strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-starter with high initiative and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Paylocity and Lever is a plus.
