The Senior Legal Counsel role is designed for a high-level legal expert who excels at identifying and managing risks across pharmaceutical, marketing, and commercial operations. You will serve as a critical partner to our Compliance and Operations teams, providing technical guidance on FDA, FTC, and state healthcare regulations while overseeing high-value company transactions.

About the Role
What You'll Do
- Regulatory Compliance: Support compliance with telehealth, pharmaceutical, FDA, FTC, and state healthcare regulations.
- Commercial Contracting: Lead the drafting, negotiation, and oversight of high-value or high-risk technology contracts, partnerships, and commercial deals.
- Operational Partnership: Assist with prescription, pharmacy, and provider-related legal matters, partnering with Compliance to manage audits.
- Risk Allocation: Advise on risk allocation, liability exposure, and dispute resolution strategies for day-to-day operations.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior legal professionals to ensure consistent legal positioning across the business.
Regulatory Compliance & Execution
- Regulatory Support: Supports compliance with telehealth, pharmaceutical, FDA, FTC, and state healthcare regulations.
- Audit Management: Partners with the Compliance and Operations teams to manage regulatory risk and conduct audits.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Stays current on evolving telehealth and healthcare regulations to advise internal teams on day-to-day operations.
Commercial & Operational Support
- Commercial Risk Management: Identifies, assesses, and manages complex legal risks across marketing, commercial, and pharmaceutical operations.
- Contracting & Documentation: Ensures consistent legal positions and documentation across all matters impacting the business.
- Escalation Point: Serves as the primary point of contact for sensitive or novel legal issues that arise during business expansion.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school with an active bar membership.
- Experience: 6–10 years of legal experience, with a strong background in commercial contracting and regulatory navigation.
- ·Communication: Excellent legal judgment with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences (Product, Marketing, etc.).
- Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of HIPAA, state telehealth regulations, and healthcare advertising rules is highly preferred.
