As a leading commerical on-line medical information service, Medicine OnLine provides pharmaceutical and medical device companies a cost-efficient, high traffic location to provide information about their products and educational services to more than 25,000,000 users of the Internet World Wide Web.

For sponsors, the major marketing benefits of Medicine OnLine include:

Exceptional Market Reach and Penetration: As an Internet service, Medicine OnLine is accessible to all 25 million people connected to the Internet — both healthcare professionals and consumers. The Medicine OnLine service is available to virtually every oncology practitioner and student in every major medical center in the US, Europe and the developed countries of Asia. And Medicine OnLine reaches the people who count — since the Internet provides especially good penetration into the leadership medical community (eg: academics, clinical investigators and "technowizards") who were early adopters and are heavy users of Internet services.

On-Demand Accessibility of Product Information: On the Internet, medical education and product information is non-intrusive — accessible to everyone on demand at the very moment they want it, need it and request it. The product message is consistent and interactive — the two key characteristics of integrated marketing. All information is electronically cross-referenced, providing easy information searches.

Extraordinary Depth of Product Information: Pharmaceutical and medical device companies can post file after file of educational and product information in the Medicine OnLine service, complete with text, graphics, audio and video. With such a comprehensive library of product information on line, anyone of the 25,000,000 Internet-users who makes an inquiry is able to obtain exactly the information s/he wants and needs at that particular time. Interactively, customers select the path of information to answer the specific questions or solve the particular problem they have.

Low Costs of Information Distribution: Product information is distributed on the Internet at significantly lower cost than print information — because there is no paper and printing costs. Distribution of existing educational and product information in Medicine On Line greatly extends the reach of the existing print material, substantially reducing per unit cost of distribution. It's no longer 10,000 copies of a monograph reaching a limited audience. It's digital files of that monograph reaching the world — available on demand to any health professional who would like to have the information at the moment they request it.

More Rapid Response to Customer Inquiries: Medicine OnLine provides Drug Information Departments a new, faster, more cost-efficient way to answer customer inquiries. Answering questions via E-mail and in Discussion Groups is far easier, quicker, less expensive, and more responsive than answering letters or phone calls. Most importantly, Internet users prefer E-mail response. And the Medicine OnLine response system meets all FDA requirements.

Improved Communications between Customer and Sales Force: With an Internet E-mail account, every sales representative is able to reach healthcare professionals through E-mail and vice versa. As a result, customers are more accessible to the sales rep. Just as importantly, sales reps are more accessible to the customer.

Improved Customer Relationships: Medicine OnLine enhances customer service through improved accessibility, communications, and problem-solving. Customer communication takes place through stored files, E-mail and discussion groups. This type of interactive, highly responsive dialogue on Medicine OnLine builds long-lasting relationships by maintaining closer contact with customers and other influentials such as editors of medical journals. This is especially true with selected groups of customers — clinical investigators, for example.

Detailed Tracking of Customer Inquiries: Through advanced software, Medicine OnLine is able to document every inquiry to the service and to provide a detailed database of information on usage of the service. A typical library of product information, for instance, contains hundreds of different digital files. The Medicine OnLine tracking service provides accurate counts of inquiries into each individual product information file — providing valuable market research information and insights into customer "hot buttons".

Enhanced Image as Progressive Company: Communicating with your customers via the Internet marks you as a forward-looking company which is willing to adopt new technologies to improve service to customers.
